Many years ago, Al was told a story by dear friends of his about Sam Wallace who had a vision of the Taylorsville Temple. One day Sam was out irrigating his field and he had this vision of a temple. At that time, Al ignored the story because who could guess what a temple is going to look like. Years later the Taylorsville Temple is in fact located in the area of where Sam’s vision was. Al usually tries to paint temples as he wished they could be in their natural settings. He did use models of the fields and ditches in that area, but this painting was different because it was meant to be dream-like.
