With the beautiful Nauvoo temple looming in the distance, this image brings to life the purpose of the Seventies Hall in the early LDS church. It was created to house the Quorum of the Seventies and was completed in July 1844. It also became home to Nauvoo’s public library, housing books from lands faraway where the quorum had traveled on missions.
