Because of Al’s shoulder injury, he lost the use of his dominant right hand and was forced to use his left. He chose a painting that he had done before because he was familiar with the subject in the hopes that it would help. It did not. It became a battle of willing his left hand to be obedient. The painting is a study of “Midway View of Timpanogos.” After this experience he is very grateful for the use of his right hand again. Painted the fall of 2025.
