This is a view looking east from Riverton, Utah. The approximate spot is 1300 West and 12300 South. The artist had always wanted to do a painting of the Jordan River Valley with the sun setting and the moon rising. After a year of searching for the right spot, he saw this area from a distance while running along the Jordan River Parkway, but he could never actually get to the spot where the river bent. After driving around for hours, he finally found this spot where the river bends.
