St. Katharine’s Docks

$20.00$809.00

The docks depicted in this painting are of the St. Katharine’s docks, which is where Charles Dickens boarded the three masted ship “Amazon” in 1863. The intent of his boarding was to expose “the Mormons” as folly. In contrast, he found them to be organized, cheerful, educated, and referred to them as the “pick and flower of England” and now they were leaving.
