This painting depicts the Jewkes-Draper Home, now located in This is the Place Heritage Park. The home was built in Fountain Green, Utah in the 1860s by Samuel Jewkes. Jewkes operated a sawmill and gristmill, and was the choir director in his local LDS ward. In 1878, Jewkes was asked to settle eastern Utah, and sold his home to Henry Draper.
